INSIGHT is a product of UNCAPT, a research technology company building AI systems that think with domain experts, not instead of them.
The name
Why “Ari”?
Ari is short for Ariadne, the figure from Greek mythology who gave Theseus a thread to navigate the labyrinth and find his way back.
Academic literature is its own labyrinth. Papers multiply faster than anyone can read them. Important findings get buried. Contradictions go unnoticed. Connections that should be obvious remain invisible.
Ari is the thread: a reasoning partner that helps researchers navigate complexity, surface what matters, and move from reading to understanding.

INSIGHT is our research product: a knowledge OS for researchers, academics, and labs that need to work with large, complex bodies of literature and turn it into actionable understanding.
Our other systems serve clinical medicine, government, and infrastructure, all built on the same principle: human expertise shouldn't be locked in one person's head.

Origin
How INSIGHT was born
Research is getting harder, not easier. INSIGHT exists because of three things we believe to be true.
The Problem
Papers are published faster than anyone can read them. Important findings get buried, contradictions go unnoticed, and breakthroughs remain hidden in plain sight. The volume of knowledge has outpaced the human capacity to absorb it.
Our Belief
The future of research isn't about replacing researchers with AI. It's about creating systems that think with researchers, amplifying human judgment rather than automating it away. The best thinking still needs to come from people.

To build research infrastructure that lets experts do their best work, not by making AI the expert, but by giving researchers tools that understand the nuances of scholarly work and extend what one person can see and do.
